Admissions Considerations
- In order to be considered for admission to The Village School, students in Pre-K and Kindergarten must obtain a minimum of 75% on their admissions test.
- In order to be considered for admission to The Village School, students in first through ninth grades must obtain a minimum of 85% on their admissions test.
- In addition, students must present teacher recommendations and all pertinent student records from previous schools.
Beginning School
- Initial entry into The Village School begins in Pre-Kindergarten with a 2-day program for 3-year olds.
- New students are admitted in other grades when there is available space.
Enrollment
- Total enrollment for the last full academic year was 750.
- 200 Preschool and Kindergarten.
- 350 Grades 1-5.
- 200 Middle School (Grades 6-8).
Language Considerations
A child must have sufficient knowledge of the English language to take the entrance examination. A child may be admitted provisionally if:
- the parents agree to English language tutoring by a mutually acceptable teacher.
- the testing team and directors agree.
Academic Considerations
- First through ninth grade applicants should score 85% on the entrance examination to be considered for placement.
- A child scoring below 85% may be accepted provisionally upon the recommendation of the testing team and directors.
