The Arts

At The Village School, we believe our students have the talent and skills to express themselves through the arts.

We encourage students to pursue the creative area of their choice, whether it is acting, singing, playing an instrument, or fine arts. We have seen that with the encouragement and instruction from our professional staff, students can reach into their imaginations to find a powerful form of expression and create compelling works.

Students have the opportunity to discover the artist within themselves – and learn the discipline of performance – in many ways, including annual grade-level plays; choir; band; orchestra; ongoing art, speech and drama classes; and an annual production by our student repertoire troupe, STARS.

We also hope they come to appreciate the work of others, to prepare for a lifelong interest, and to embrace those experiences that can bring beauty and meaning into their lives.
