Please come for coffee. The meeting will be on Tuesday, January 22nd from 8:30-10:00 A.M. in the school cafeteria. Carpool Consideration |
|
Each day the office personnel are confronted with phone calls from parents regarding rudeness or breaking of carpool rules.
It is seemingly very difficult to communicate the rules to all participants. We feel that in many cases whoever is driving the vehicle is not familiar with the expectations. In many cases, relatives are driving the children and may be totally ignorant of the rules that have been set forth.
Our neighbors also complain to us almost daily about bad manners displayed on the streets surrounding our school and about the dangers of nearly colliding with a vehicle which is making a U-turn in the street.
The most common complaint is in regard to drivers cutting in line in front of those who have been waiting.
In addition, students are being dropped off at the curb. This is against policy and is extremely dangerous. All students must be dropped off either at the front door, or for those in fourth grade and above, across the street by the new gym.
Please do everything you can to help things run more smoothly in our carpool lines, and please be sure that any individuals who are transporting your children are fully informed of the carpool rules.
