Re-enrollment |
Registration re-enrollment packets for the school term 2008/2009 have been mailed. If you have not received your re-enrollment packet please contact the business office for a replacement.
In order to reserve a spot for your child for 2008/2009, please complete, sign, and submit the re-enrollment contract by February 22, 2008. Along with your re-enrollment contract, you will also need to remit a deposit. If you have any questions regarding re-enrollment, tuition, or fees, please contact our business office at your earliest convenience. It has been a pleasure serving you and your child this year, and we look forward to working with your child for another exciting year at The Village School.

Spring Fling Update |

ATTENTION PARENTS: We have extended the date to purchase your Family Fun Carnival T-shirts until next Wednesday, February 20. AT THAT TIME NO MORE ORDERS WILL BE PROCESSED. In March, your child will have 6 days to wear the t-shirt to school and then at the carnival. The yellow t-shirts are 100% cotton and pre-shrunk. Parents and siblings can enjoy these great T-shirts too! Volunteers are also encouraged to buy t-shirts and wear them at the carnival. When you complete the order form, attach a check payable to "The Village School - PTA" and send it back to school to your child's teacher.

| CARPOOL RULES |
It is imperative for the safety of our children, staff, and morning greeters, that children not be dropped in front of the school to walk through carpool line. This creates a very dangerous situation for all involved.
If you use the Gentryside Carpool line to drop your children off for entry through the lunchroom door, you must drop them off where they can cross the street via the bridge. You may not drop your children off on the street. Do not turn left off of Whittington into the Gentryside carpool line.

| SOLO & ENSEMBLE CONTEST |
Band, Choir and Orchestra students are feverishly practicing for the first ever Village School President's Day Solo and Ensemble Contest to be held Monday, 9:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M., February 18 in the Fine Arts Building here at school. Three expert judges have been hired to critique the students and coach them on their instruments. Students compete against a standard of excellence rather than against each other for a very positive experience. Medals are awarded to all 1st place winners and the eight most Outstanding Performers of the day will perform for the middle school students the following day at an Honors Concert. Performance times were emailed to each participant earlier this week. Please consult Mrs. Pyle, Mrs. Stark, or Mrs. Karakas if you have questions. Good luck to these industrious musicians! | |

 Our morning carpool greeters are very special people. They are here early, and they happily open doors for your children--rain or shine! It is for this reason they have earned the gratitude and admiration of parents and staff alike. PLEASE treat these ladies and gentleman with the respect they have earned. It is always important for all of us to remember that one of the ways our children learn is by the examples set for them by their role models. Thank you for your immediate attention to this important matter.

Please remember to label all items that your child brings to school. When labeling, please put your child's FIRST and LAST name on the item. Properly marked items are easily returned to the rightful owner!
Please label your:
Sweatshirts, t-shirts, Polarfleece jackets, gloves, lunch boxes, pants, shorts, skirts, P.E. uniforms, etc., or they could end up here!
