CARPOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The 7:20 Morning Greeters need your help.  We need some new faces for the second half of the school year. It's an easy, fun way to get involved with the school.  Some volunteers are stay-at-home parents, while others find this is a great way to volunteer as a working parent, before the workday begins.  Please just park your car at 7:15 A.M. or so, walk up and introduce yourself.  We can tell you which mornings we need your help. Or, call Nancy Solis at 281-497-2512. Your child gets to be one of the first students in the classroom the mornings you volunteer, and you get to help our students start their day! Take your turn helping and make your child proud!
LET'S REDUCE THE LOST AND FOUND
Please remember to label all items that your child brings to school.  When labeling, please put your child's FIRST and LAST name on the item.  Properly marked items are easily returned to the rightful owner!

Please label your:
Sweatshirts, t-shirts, Polarfleece jackets, gloves, lunch boxes, pants, shorts, skirts, P.E. uniforms, etc., or they could end up here!

SOLO & ENSEMBLE  CONTEST
musicOver 175 band, choir, and orchestra students participated in a solo and ensemble contest on Presidents' Day.  Village School musicians competed against a standard of excellence, not each other.  Many students received first place ribbons for their efforts.  Of note, two band students and six orchestra students performed Class I solos.  Class I represents the highest difficulty of music that can be performed and is the same music that high school students perform.  Congratulations to all the students who participated.  They are all winners!!
