TOY DRIVE
Student Council and National Junior Honor Society
presentsThanks to everyone
for participating
in our 2007 Toy Drive.   NJHS and Student Council collected new toys for the City Wide Club of America. Your generous donations provided toys for underprivileged children.
Carpool Etiquette Revisted--Observations from a Volunteer Mom
A volunteer mom had the following suggestions to keep our carpool lines running smoothy based on her observations as a morning greeter during the 7:30 A.M. shift:

*Students need to be ready to go by the time they reach the drop-off drive--time spent packing up backpacks causes traffic back-ups.
*Long goodbyes need to be shortenened.  Start saying goodbye to your student before you enter the drop-off drive.
*Refrain from cell phone use while dropping off your student.  This distracts you from potential hazards in the carpool line.
*Do not let your student out of the car until a volunteer has opened the door for them.
*Walking your student into the building is not recommended, but if it is necessary for you to do so, please use the pedestrian path that comes up to the middle of the drop-off drive.  Pedestrians entering from other areas of the drop-off drive are unexpected.
*As a rule, parents have an overall cooperative spirit during carpool.
