| Basketball News |
"Play it cozy and wait for the other team to make a mistake." - Georgia Tech football coach Bobby Dodd (Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary, Merriam Co., Springfield, MA; c.1977, p.264).
On Thursday, November 29th, the 8th grade boys earned their third win by edging St. Francis Episcopal 34-30, as Sumant Agrawal led with ten points, and Cedric Ginestra chipped in with nine.
Monday, December 3rd, the 8th grade boys added their fourth win by holding off Annunciation Orthodox School 33-27, as Cedric Ginestra poured in a personal and team season high of 15 points. The 8th grade boys are averaging just over 33 points per game.
Come in from the cold and into the cozy Moore Gym Thursday, December 13th, at 4:15 P.M. and help the 8th grade basketball boys wrap up a Viking victory for the holidays when they take on Fort Bend Baptist in a non-conference home game. This is the last game for all Village squads until January. Go Vikings!

| Carpool Etiquette Revisted--Observations from a Volunteer Mom |
 |
|
A volunteer mom had the following suggestions to keep our carpool lines running smoothy based on her observations as a morning greeter during the 7:30 A.M. shift:
*Students need to be ready to go by the time they reach the drop-off drive--time spent packing up backpacks causes traffic back-ups.
*Long goodbyes need to be shortenened. Start saying goodbye to your student before you enter the drop-off drive.
*Refrain from cell phone use while dropping off your student. This distracts you from potential hazards in the carpool line.
*Do not let your student out of the car until a volunteer has opened the door for them.
*Walking your student into the building is not recommended, but if it is necessary for you to do so, please use the pedestrian path that comes up to the middle of the drop-off drive. Pedestrians entering from other areas of the drop-off drive are unexpected.
*As a rule, parents have an overall cooperative spirit during carpool. | | |
