| Parent Teacher Association coming to The Village School |

On January 10, 2008 at 6:30 P.M., there will be a meeting for all parents and staff of The Village School who are interested in forming a Parent Teacher Association organized under the Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers (Texas PTA). Through the PTA, we hope to provide greater support for our school and expand upon opportunities for parents to participate in our school community. Everyone is welcome to join, attend meetings, volunteer for committees, and participate in educational and community-building events. Once we have established the PTA, future contributions made through such successful endeavors as our magazine drive and gala may be claimed as charitable deductions. And, as with the current Parent Teacher Advisory Board, all fund-raising conducted by the PTA will directly serve our children and The Village School. Look for more detailed information to come in the mail over the holiday break! |

Mexico Dance Showcase

| A weekend of fun around DANCE is the agenda for a dance showcase to be staged at Meritas sister-school Instituto San Roberto. Dancers of all types and abilities are encouraged to participate. It will be a noncompetitive environment in which each student can feel comfortable with his or her own dance progress. Master classes will be offered for students to learn the most updated dance moves and choreography.

The approximate cost for the weekend will be $100.00 plus air fare of about $350.00.

Daycare will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, December 24 & 25, and Monday, December 31, and Tuesday, January 1. Daycare will open from 6:45 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. all other weekdays during the holiday break.

| SPEECH TEAM NEWS--JOIN THE TEAM! |
 The Village Middle School Speech Team has been invited to the Katy Taylor High School Speech Tournament to be held at Katy Taylor on Saturday, January 12, 2008. All students are welcome to join the speech team and attend this exciting tournament! Students will build self-esteem and character in a nurturing atmosphere in a fun, competitive way.
